Hubei TV's , "My Chinese Star", will be broadcasting its premiere episode on July 7th, 10pm. The new reality singing competition has invited the popular K-pop idol group, SHINee, to make an appearance on the show, along with many other K-pop stars and idol groups.
"My Chinese Star" is a spin-off of Korea's own singing competition, "Superstar K", which ranked first in television ratings during its airing. In collaboration with Korean entertainment company, CJ E&M, the show will be going around China to hold auditions. The top 10 contestants will head to Korea to undergo a 40-day training stint. The ultimate winner will eventually get the honor of representing China the 2013 MAMA awards, along with other prizes and career opportunities.
