SHINee is back, back, back again! The shining five released their third studio album "Dream Girl" on February 19th, and were immediately swept into a whirlwind of promotions. They made their comeback performances on M! Countdown, Music Bank, Music Core, and Inkigayo this weekend, showing off admirable vocals and spectacular new choreography to title track "Dream Girl".
SHINee's first-ever music show performance of "Dream Girl" was on Mnet's M! Countdown on February 21st. At first glance the performance seemed to go on without a hitch, but hawk-eyed fans spotted Minho's microphone stand breaking halfway through. The rest of SHINee also noticed Minho's predicament, and worked together to fix the mistake while keeping themselves completely composed. SHINee was later commended for their professionalism and ability to react to the situation in a way that made the slip-up almost completely unnoticeable.
Second up was SHINee's performance on KBS Music Bank. SHINee was featured in a comeback interview during the show. Their first song, Beautiful, was set on a stage full of color. SHINee went on to perform Dream Girl so flawlessly that viewers wondered whether or not the performance was lipsynced, when it was indeed live. Shawols were delighted to watch Jonghyun, Key, and Minho playing around during the ending stage, doing the dance to Sistar19's "Gone Not Around Any Longer".
On MBC Music Core, SHINee performed Beautiful on a retro stage, once again showcasing a fun and refreshing side to themselves. The camera work during the Dream Girl performance showcased the intricacies of SHINee's choreography. Dream Girl was as full of intensity as ever, and SHINee closed the show with a dazzling display of high notes.
Last but definitely not least was SHINee's comeback stage on SBS Inkigayo. Another comeback interview preceded their performances halfway through the show. Finally, SHINee made a memorable entrance with Dream Girl where the members stood in a circle on an elevated stage while being surrounded by bright lights. The performance was pre-recorded on February 19th. SHINee went on to perform Beautiful right afterwards. Balloons were released onto the audience and stage as SHINee ended the song.
Shawols celebrated SHINee's comeback on Twitter by trending #SHINeeDreamGirlCB, #SHINeeMuCoreCB, and #SHINeeInkigayoCB in first place on the Worldwide trendlist throughout the weekend.
