In this week's album charts, we can once again see the popularity of TVXQ as a Korean group in Japan, as they managed to sell 204,980 copies of their latest album "TONE" in one week's time. FT Island's "FT Island - Best Recommendation for JAPAN – Our Favourite Korean Songs", sold 31,194 units since its release date one week ago. Next to TVXQ and FT Island, JYJ also managed to chart in today's weekly charts with the release of their Korean album "In Heaven". Even though "In Heaven" was a Korean release, the group sold 7,381 copies since September 30th. Big Bang's "Love & Hope Tour 2011 Live Tracks & Photo Book" made it to the 21st spot, with 4,783 copies sold.
For the weekly singles charts, another Korean group topped the rankings as T-ara gathered an amount of 49,712 sales in one week with their debut single "Bo Peep Bo Peep".
Yesterday we already revealed that it's the first time in the history of Oricon, that both charts were topped by a Korean group simultaneously.
KARA officially released their latest Korean album "STEP" in Japan earlier today, and got to the 4th place on today's album rankings. Shinhwa's Shin Hyesung debuted in Japan with a collaboration with Exile member Kiyokiba Shunsuke, "I Believe", and ended on the 4th spot for the daily single rankings.
Next week's charts will see the release of SHINee's 3rd Japanese single "Lucifer", as well as Supernova's next full album "4U".
