One of Korea's largest entertainment agency, SM Entertainment, is expanding into the real estate business, starting with a theme park!
Basically, the plan is to create a large-scale visual and cultural tourist spot and it will take place in KyungBuk.
Interestingly, replicas of SM artistes' dorms may be built, so visitors will get the chance to "visit" their favorite artistes' dorms. FYI, SM artistes consist of many big Kpop stars such as SNSD, TVXQ, BoA, Super Junior, SHINee, f(x) and more.
According to real estate industries on April 27, SM and Fides Development chose an area of 888,186 in MoonKyung city as a location for the theme park. The 354.2 billion won project is estimated to be completed around 2016.
Firstly, the project will start in the SaeJae area, in an area of 35,894 and around 43 billion won will be spent up till 2012 to develop the film studios, leisure complex and visual support area. Fans will be interested to know the following; a star zone will be developed, which will include replicas of SM artistes' dorms. Aren't you curious about the place your favorite artistes live in?
SM Entertainment's CEO, Kim Youngmin explained,"We participated in this development because we feel the need to put together Korea's cultural advantages in one place as Korea's cultural contents are accepted in Asia and the whole world."
Fans are already having fun speculating and guessing about the possible stars-based attractions. What do you think should be in the theme park?
