During SHINee's appearance on the February 28th episode of MBC's SimSimTaPa, Key pinpointed his ideal type to be British actress of "Skins" fame, Kaya Scodelario.
Key chose Kaya Scodelario as his ideal type after seeing her in real life and realizing how beautiful she actually is. He saw Kaya in person at a party hosted by a magazine brand while he was in England, and noted her to be one of the most beautiful women he'd ever seen.
Both Key and Taemin have mentioned Kaya in the past. During an old appearance on Choi Hwajeong's Power Time Radio Show, the two playfully reminisced on the times they spent competing with each other over her.
