The National Tax Service of Korea has just reported that the total number of income reported by 21,817 celebrities was 545,388,000,000 KRW (484 mil USD). This makes an average of 24,990,000 KRW (22k USD) per person.

Actors, both for dramas and movies, made the most, averaging 33,000,000 KRW (29k USD) per year. Singers averaged 25,000,000 KRW (22k USD) and models averaged 10,000,000 KRW (8.9k USD).

The average had dropped since 2008, where celebrities averaged a 28,510,000 KRW (25k USD) that is a drop of 3,520,000 KRW (3k USD). However, a regular businessman in Korea made 25,300,000 KRW (22.5k USD) slightly more than celebrities made in 2009. However, this is an increase from 2008, unlike the decrease that celebrities saw.
